iOS 9.3 activation error has made the lives of Apple devices’, especially iPads owners, more gloomy. Here’s the advice how to restore your iPad with an actual firmware but (which is important!) with your data delete. The data can be recovered if you have a backup on iTunes or iCloud.
Notice that the instruction will also work if you come across the problems with your iPhone activation after iOS 9.3 installment.
Step 1. In the Menu find
Help → Update. Use the
link if iTunes is not installed on your computer.
Step 2. Put your iPad into Recovery Mode. You need to press and to hold Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds, then release Power button but continue holding Home button for 10 seconds more.
Step 3. Connect your iPad to the computer, run iTunes and it recognizes your device in Recovery Mode.
Step 4. Press Recover iPad and confirm the recovery process. Important: all the data will be lost. You can restore the data if you have a backup.
Step 5. Wait till the end of recovery process. As soon as iPad is activated again you can restore the data from iTunes or iCloud.
